where ti(eres) and fa{erea) are the first and second traces, respectively, of eres. The first forms in terms of the constants of multiplication arise from the isomorphism between the first and second matrices of the elements of A and the elements themselves. The second forms result from direct calculation of the traces of R(er)R(es) and S(er)S(es), R{ei) and S(ei) denoting, respectively, the first and second matrices of ei. The last forms of the discriminant matrices show that each is symmetric. E. Noetherf and C. C. MacDuffeeJ discovered some of the interesting properties of these matrices, and shed new light on the particular case of the discriminant matrix of an algebraic equation. It is the purpose of this paper to develop additional properties of these matrices, and to interpret them in some familiar instances. Let A be subjected to a transformation of basis, of matrix M,

A brief introduction to quaternion matrices and linear algebra and on bounded groups of quaternion matrices

The division algebra of real quaternions, as the only noncommutative normed division real algebra up to isomorphism of normed algebras, is of great importance. In this note, first we present a brief introduction to quaternion matrices and quaternion linear algebra. This, among other things, will help us present the counterpart of a theorem of Herman Auerbach in the setting of quaternions. More ...

Singular value inequalities for positive semidefinite matrices

In this note‎, ‎we obtain some singular values inequalities for positive semidefinite matrices by using block matrix technique‎. ‎Our results are similar to some inequalities shown by Bhatia and Kittaneh in [Linear Algebra Appl‎. ‎308 (2000) 203-211] and [Linear Algebra Appl‎. ‎428 (2008) 2177-2191]‎.

Operational matrices with respect to Hermite polynomials and their applications in solving linear differential equations with variable coefficients

In this paper, a new and efficient approach is applied for numerical approximation of the linear differential equations with variable coeffcients based on operational matrices with respect to Hermite polynomials. Explicit formulae which express the Hermite expansion coeffcients for the moments of derivatives of any differentiable function in terms of the original expansion coefficients of the f...

An Algebra for the Control of Stochastic Systems: Exercises in Linear Algebra

A new algebraic framework is introduced based on stochastic matrices. Together with several new operators, the set of stochastic matrices is shown to constitute a vector space, an inner-product space, and an associative algebra. The new zero vector is the uniform probability distribution and linear addition is akin to statistical independence. This new stochastic algebra allows Markov chains an...

Minimal solution of fuzzy neutrosophic soft matrix

The aim of this article is to study the concept of unique solvability of max-min fuzzy neutrosophic soft matrix equation and strong regularity of fuzzy neutrosophic soft matrices over Fuzzy Neutrosophic Soft Algebra (FNSA). A Fuzzy Neutrosophic Soft Matrix (FNSM) is said to have Strong, Linear Independent (SLI) column (or, in the case of fuzzy neutrosophic soft square matrices, to be strongly r...
